Saung Ranggon Bekasi, Prince Jayakarta's Stopover Location, and the Soekarno Hermitage

In Cikedokan Village, West Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, West Java, there is a historical structure called SAUNG Ranggon. Prince Jayakarta and President Soekarno's hermitage ended up stopping there.
It is claimed that this structure has existed since 1821. The structure is now revered by the locals.

Ironwood from Sumatra was used to construct the structure, which has a surface area of 5,000 square meters and a height of around 2.5 meters. These clerics' resting place is full of treasures that give it an eerie, mysterious feel.

There was just a "kuncen," or guardian of mothers and their children, as the door leading to the Saung Ranggon region was closed. Sri claimed he was unsure of the the date and builder of the structure.

He learned the tale from the grandfather, who had been a resident of the area from its inception. Although the precise age of this structure is unknown, several sources claim that Raden Abbas' Mataram Kingdom troops were rediscovered in 1821.
Raden Nyimas Sri, who claimed to be Raden Abbas's sixth great-grandson, is Raden Nyimas Sri.

"This is where my family has lived for many years. Although the tale is passed down from one generation to the next, it is thought that Prince Jayakarta and the guardians' envoys stopped there, according to Sri.
He clarified that not everyone could access the area carelessly. You need the kuncen's permission to enter, and being haughty in any way is not permitted.

It shouldn't be careless to have permission, he said, as this location is also a cultural heritage that the government protects. "Believe it or not, there are visitors playing in and taking photos without permission or permission in the end it's similar," he said.

Another mystical tale was related by Sri about a group of individuals who came to present an artistic performance. Unfortunately, because the performance was done without the caretaker's knowledge or consent, everyone ended up in a collective trance and started crying hysterically.

"There was a time when people came to make art, the ABG kids played, and without asking first, they just came and set up the tents, the masked dance, the drums, and the jaipong. Everyone was crying after the mass trance when they were ready to begin, for whatever reason," he added.

The furrier eventually entered Saung Ranggon's quarters as he emerged from his wanderings. He even took down the mosquito net or drape that was covering the jars and priceless items within the chamber.

"I was having a visitor, so I took him upstairs. When he arrived downstairs, he went upstairs and started opening things when all of a sudden, he bounced down. I questioned him about why he apologized, and he replied that he had seen a man sitting cross-legged with a lengthy beard.
Additionally, the guardians left Saung Ranggon with a number of heirlooms, including kris and daggers. A water-filled jar is also present, but it is only seen occasionally.

A green fence encloses Saung Ranggon's exterior; to access it, one must ascend seven stairs from the front door. There is a 1 x 2 meter room in Saung Ranggon that is curtained off.
When you enter, the dimly lit chamber has pictures of President Soekarno, Wali Songo, and Nyi Roro Kidul in a frame. Additionally, there are prayer rugs and implements for prayer such the mukena and sarong, which are likewise covered by curtains on each window.

A modest wooden and bamboo prayer room is located next to Saung Ranggon. A water-filled container is located next to the entryway. Residents are expected to wash their faces after visiting. Meanwhile, there is a home in front of Saung Ranggon.

A well that of the same age as the hut is also nearby. The caretaker or caretakers at Saung Ranggon are required to do certain tasks. Like cleaning every family heirloom during the Prophet's Birthday in Saung Ranggon. Additionally, traditional arts like the Jaipong Dance and songs must be sung as a requirement.
If none of stuff is completed, our family will be in a trance or someone will end up in trouble, he stated.
